Self Advocacy Consultation Group
Service Users have been involved in the work of our Partnership Board and its various Task Groups since April 2002 when the Craven and Harrogate Learning Disability Partnership Board first formed.
The Partnership Board has given extra money to the Advocacy Service in both Craven and Harrogate to enable a dedicated Advocate in each area to support Service Users on the Partnership Board and Task Groups and to form Self Advocacy Consultation Groups.
The Self Advocacy Consultation Groups will help with the work of the Partnership Board and also look at issues relating to transport, housing, leisure etc. affecting all service users in the area.
The Advocates hope to set up a number of Self Advocacy Consultation Groups in each area, and if you are a service user and live anywhere in the Craven, Harrogate and Rural District area and would like to be involved you can contact:

Karen Murray (Harrogate; Rural Area) or Pat Crewe (Craven area) through their local Advocacy offices - contact details are shown on the Advocacy pages on this website.
